Us humans have always been curious about “what’s beyond the limits of Earth?”, “how can we ever get beyond that limit?”. When Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first landed on the moon, everyone in the world had hope about someday being able to not only colonize the Moon but more. For scientists, futurists and private aerospace companies the idea of colonizing the Moon has never been the “if” but the “when” and “how”. For some establishing a permanent human presence on the Moon is a matter of destiny while for others is a matter of survival. Even though, on Earth we have the benefit of having natural resources that help us live fully, these natural resources won’t work in outer space. Finding the right resources to live permanently on the Moon will be a difficult task but in the near future these resources may be easier to find.

When referring to the ownership of land, humans have always created a competition to gain more power and be responsible for the ownership of these. When the question of owning land in space arised, it wasn't an issue taking into account that outer space doesn't belong to anyone. Nowadays, private companies have tried to make a business out of the law of owning land in outer space. Laws started implying the conditions that countries may have to start
owning private lands in outer space.
